In the context of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) revolution and the fundamental efficiency improvements it will bring to well-run companies, ASN is announcing a strategic partnership with Mistral AI and Unitel Group to build an ASN-private and French/ European-sovereign “Generative AI” infrastructure. This initiative follows President Emmanuel Macron’s announcements in February 2025 of plans to accelerate the deployment of AI in France.
The objective of this partnership is to provide all ASN employees in every location with a secure and confidential ecosystem allowing them to leverage the tremendous potential of Generative AI in every activity of the company without exposing sensitive information outside of ASN.
By design, this strategic partnership is involving French companies delivering solutions developed in France and supported by a dedicated infrastructure owned, located and supported in France.
Expected to be operational later this year, the first use cases of this sovereign ecosystem will include:
- Generic AI, providing ASN employees with a ‘Le Chat Enterprise’ solution with features such as generic chat, translation, summarization, document analysis and many others.
- Specific AI, allowing ASN to start introducing and leveraging Generative AI in its core processes, starting with domains such as R&D, Services or support functions.
Once deployed, ASN employees will benefit from a private and exclusive AI platform to support their activity.
This partnership, established between French actors recognized for their leadership in their respective domains, is a testament to the willingness of ASN to invest in innovative solutions, as well as Mistral AI and Unitel Group to apply their technologies & expertise to the submarine telecommunications cable industry.
